Ca fonctionne bien et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cela, je suis moins souvent malade. Cette m\u00e9thode consiste \u00e0 faire entre 20 et 30 cycles de respirations rapides (hyperventilation), suivis d&rsquo;une apn\u00e9e poumons vides relativement longue, puis d&rsquo;une apn\u00e9e poumons pleins de 15 secondes. Le principe de fonctionnement de cette pratique est d\u00e9crit dans un livre excellent d&rsquo;Yvan Cam<span contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" id=\"f63358ab-9dea-40a0-ad20-88ce89abf68b\" data-items=\"[&quot;2527756610&quot;]\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span>, un biologiste pratiquant les arts martiaux qui s&rsquo;est int\u00e9ress\u00e9 de pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la respiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lors de la phase d&rsquo;hyperventilation, le CO2 est rapidement \u00e9limin\u00e9.  Sa concentration diminue ce qui a pour cons\u00e9quence une diminution de la lib\u00e9ration d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne par l&rsquo;h\u00e9moglobine dans les tissus. Lorsque l&rsquo;on arr\u00eate de respirer, on commence avec nun taux relativement bas de CO2 ce qui a pour cons\u00e9quence que l&rsquo;on peut tenir l&rsquo;apn\u00e9e plus longtemps que d&rsquo;habitude. En effet, le r\u00e9flexe de reprise de la ventilation se produit lorsque la concentration en CO2 d\u00e9passe une certaine valeur. Pendant l&rsquo;apn\u00e9e, le taux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne diminue et lorsque la saturation en oxyg\u00e8ne atteint la valeur de 60 %, le corps donne l&rsquo;alarme et le corps se met en \u00e9tat d&rsquo;alerte. Le cerveau s\u00e9cr\u00e8te des hormones qui produisent un \u00e9tat de bien \u00eatre et une augmentation de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie disponible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9 (dans une \u00e9tude sur un nombre restreint de personnes), que le fonctionnement du syst\u00e8me immunitaire inn\u00e9 (la premi\u00e8re ligne de d\u00e9fense) est influenc\u00e9 par ce type de respiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Personnellement, j&rsquo;ai observ\u00e9 que ces respirations me permettaient de retrouver de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie et d&rsquo;\u00e9viter de tomber malade lorsque je commen\u00e7ais \u00e0 sentir des premiers sympt\u00f4mes. Yvan Cam d\u00e9crit un des probl\u00e8mes fr\u00e9quents li\u00e9 \u00e0 une mauvaise respiration. Le diaphragme n&rsquo;est pas compl\u00e8tement libre et son mouvement est moins amples que ce qu&rsquo;il pourrait \u00eatre ce qui a pour effet d&rsquo;augmenter la fr\u00e9quence respiratoire. On entre dans un r\u00e9gime d&rsquo;hyperventilation o\u00f9 le taux de CO2 devient trop bas et o\u00f9 les tissus sont moins oxyg\u00e9n\u00e9s. Il propose des exercices pour augmenter \u00e0 nouveau le taux de CO2. Le principe est le m\u00eame que celui que l&rsquo;on retrouve dans certains exercice de pranayama. Cela consiste \u00e0 diminuer progressivement la fr\u00e9quence de la respiration, coupl\u00e9 \u00e0 des p\u00e9riodes de r\u00e9tention du souffle. Il note toutefois qu&rsquo;il est important, avant de se lancer dans ce genre d&rsquo;exercice, de s&rsquo;occuper de la mobilit\u00e9 du diaphragme.
